The GodFather: Five Families

Gameplay 2.5/5 : After about two days of playing this game, I was not too enthused. This is another cookie cutter Tribal Wars, Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, style game, with a Godfather skin on it. Now don't get me wrong its a nice game for some people, who can pay to win. Not my style at ALL. However, I always try to keep an open mind:

When you start you pick a family,
obviously everyone wants to play a Corleone, thus you get no bonus for playing one. I chose Tattaglia, seemed legit 18% Resource Bonus during your start up. Once I got in game it did impress me with the detailed layout of the city.
Each little square is a neighborhood, some run by other Families, some by NPC "Gangs". Word of advise for anyone who tries this game out, do not try to attack uncontrolled "CityScapes" above your level. They are nasty nasty groups!
Here you can bring families together and make a "crew", or a typical guild/clan.

Graphics 3.5/5 : Compared to most games in this category this game does have slightly better graphics and a more in-depth look at the neighborhood/city. I was rather impressed with this.

The estate reminded me of the old ScarFace video game, rebuild the estate man, smuggle some coke! If only there was a large estate filled with gangsters in every neighborhood throughout the city...

Sound 1.5/5 : The music was very mafia like, but the same eerie music in the background got old extremely fast, and not just because I was hung over.

Lasting Appeal 2.5/5 : Overall I can look past the cookie cutter parts of this game, and I will play a little more. But the fact that it is pay-to-win, draws me away. I do not want to spend all of my money to get ahead in this game, nor any game. But the devs need to eat too right!

FINAL SCORE! 2/5 :

I enjoy the Godfather theme, it really takes me back, however there are millions of games on the market exactly like this one with a different skin. Lets get original and change the way we look at browser based RTSMMO's!
